Vocas MB-436 Swing Away Matte Box

The Vocas MB-436 is a professional 3-stage matte box designed for cinema and broadcast camera setups. The swing-away configuration provides fast access to the lens for changes and adjustments without removing the matte box from the rods.

It supports 4 × 4" and 4 × 5.65" filters, with three filter stages and one fully rotatable stage. The matte box fits lenses up to 143 mm front diameter and can accept a 138 mm round filter with the flexible donut system. The swing-away bracket mounts to 15 mm LWS rods, with optional support for 15 mm Studio and 19 mm rods. The housing combines aluminium and carbon fibre construction with integrated internal eyebrows for flare control.

Suitable for cinema lenses, filtration-heavy setups and productions where lenses need to be changed frequently while keeping the matte box and filters rigged.
